A Tea Lover’s Journey
My tea lover journey began years ago, when I looked for ways to stay healthy during cold and flu season. I would get sick multiple times during those seasons and I hated it! I wanted to find natural ways to stay healthy. That’s when I discovered that there were teas that I could drink that would not only help to boost my immune system, but also shorten the duration of a cold. I researched certain herbs and their benefits, and then found teas that contained these specific herbs. I found some great teas that I still faithfully use to this day. When the world shifted in 2020, those teas were priceless to me.
The Vast World Of Tea
Over time, I started to broaden my tea horizons, by embracing calming teas to deal with stress, teas that help provide period relief, and my absolute favorite – teas that are just yummy to drink! Oddly enough, it wasn’t until I started looking at teas for fun and enjoyment, that I discovered how vast the tea world is! There are so many tea companies and aficionados around the world; all that time, I had no idea! I started visiting different tea company websites and buying samples – I was a bit out of control, but having so much fun! I even created a tea journal to chart my progress, so that I would know which teas to re-order. A passion for tea developed within me that I never even knew existed. That same passion influenced me to create The Jolly Tea Drinker blog. I get great delight in tea every day, and I like sharing that joy with others!
There are also countless ways that tea can contribute to our lives and inspire us through art, food and more. From adding it into your soothing bath water, to integrating it within DIY hair care products, there are so many incredible ways to incorporate tea into our daily lives.
